Political Debate Continues as Electorate Awaits Polling Day

The political debate continues amidst as the electorate awaits the announcement of a date for the polls.

Senator Dr. Errol Cort has said that local economy has seen economic growth of in excess of 13 percent despite the 2008 recession adding the government has been able to retain and increase jobs.

He believes these are reasons for the ruling administration to be granted a 3rd term in office but says the highly anticipated general elections will see a new era in national politics.

Dr. Cort is of the opinion that based on the image that the county now holds, the ruling United Progressive disserves to be reelected to government.

Constitutionally, elections in Antigua and Barbuda are expected to be held anytime now.
