MURDERER SENTENCED TO 40 YEARS IN PRISON

Forty-three-year-old Elton Charles aka ‘Chalice’ of Parham has been sentenced to 40 years imprisonment for killing, Urcil Martin in 2015.

Charles and Martin had both accused each other of stealing fruit from the other.

Charles attacked Martin and his wife with a cutlass at their home May 4, 2015.

The wife managed to escape through a window as Martin tried to force his way into a bedroom where the couple was.

Charles later told police he chopped Martin several times about his body until his skull cracked and he breathed his last breath.

The convict has expressed no remorse.

He will spend about 26 years in prison after the sentencing is automatically reduced for good behavior.
