AIDA PERLA CRUISE SHIP TURNED AWAY
AIDA PERLA CRUISE SHIP DISALLOWED FROM DOCKING IN ANTIGUA ON TUESDAY
As ABS news first reported Monday evening, the Government of Antigua and Barbuda has made the decision to disallow the Aida Perla cruise ship from docking in Antigua on Tuesday as scheduled. The Health Ministry says the maritime health declaration was insufficient to make a proper assessment of the health situation on the vessel. Health Minister Hon. Molwyn Joseph says the additional information requested was not provided in a timely manner. The vessel was also barred from docking in St Lucia and Dominica. Countries around the region have intensified their vigilance at ports of entry amidst the spread of the novel coronavirus. There is no suspected case of coronavirus in the Caribbean.
