TRAVEL BAN ON ITALIAN CITIES WITH CORONAVIRUS

The government of Antigua and Barbuda is placing travel restrictions on passengers originating from Italian cities where cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed. Twelve people have so far died from the novel coronavirus in Italy, where more than 400 infections have been reported. In efforts to contain the virus, the Italian Government has placed a lockdown on several cities; affecting more than 50 thousand people.

Cabinet says a weekly charter flight from Milan, Italy to Antigua and Barbuda will NOT be bringing any passengers this week. The plane will only pick up those it dropped off last week.

The regular schedule is expected to resume next week after a questionnaire is developed to ensure no passengers from affected cities are allowed on the plane.
