SCIENTISTS IDENTIFY NEW FLU STRAIN WITH ‘PANDEMIC POTENTIAL’

Scientists have identifed a new strain of flu which has the potential to trigger a global outbreak. BBC News says it is carried by pigs and was recently detected in China. The researchers are concerned it can infect humans and could mutate further to spread easily from person to person. They say it is not an immediate problem, but needs to be closely monitored.
