HEAVY RAINS CONTINUE, GOVERNMENT ASSESSES DAMAGE

Schools and some business were shuttered today as heavy showers persisted across the island.
The impact is serious and government is making an assessment of the damage with a view to determining relief for some of the hardest hit.
