PM BROWNE SAYS HE EXPECTED RISE IN COVID-19 CASES

Prime Minister the Hon. Gaston Browne says the upward trend in COVID-19 cases in Antigua & Barbuda and other Caribbean countries is expected.

Speaking on his weekly radio show Saturday, the Prime Minister says scientists had predicted the increase.
He calls on the public to re-double efforts to curb the virus’s spread by adhering to the COVID-19 protocols.

The Prime Minister cautions a COVID-19 crisis in this country could lead to border-closure spelling a health and economic disaster.
