APUA PROVIDES UPDATE ON DISCONNECTIONS

Antigua Public Utilities Authority is making it clear both residential and commercial customers will continue receiving a 10 per cent discount on the cost of electricity.
However, only its residential customers can get a further 10 per cent discount if they pay their bills in full and on time.
The utility provider is continuing the discounts, despite the cessation of its waiver on disconnections effective yesterday.
Public Relations Co-ordinator Sharifa George says both residential and commercial customers who are still encountering financial difficulties from the pandemic, may still be able to work out a payment plan.
She explains what will be required.
