NOMINATIONS FOR BARBUDA COUNCIL ELECTIONS ON WEDNESDAY

Five seats on the Barbuda council will be contested in two weeks through the biennial Barbuda Local Government Elections.
The update has come from Public Relations Officer for the Antigua Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) Elisa Graham.
Nominations take place this Wednesday between 10AM and 1PM on the sister isle.

The ABEC PRO tells ABS, of the 11 seats on the Barbuda Council, 9 are elected, 4 of which were contested in 2019.

Election Day is scheduled for March 29 with Vernest Mack continuing in her role as Presiding Officer.
