CRUISE SHIP DOCKS IN ANTIGUA FOR MAINTENANCE

The horizon off the St John’s Habour which has been bereft of the sight of cruise ships for over a year, welcomed the first vessel Saturday morning. The first of three vessels has docked in Antigua for maintenance after leaving ash-blanketed Barbados. The vessel has no passengers and the crew will be remaining on board.

The development is welcomed by cruise tourism interests who hope it will be a harbinger of the nascent recovery of the sector from the perils of the COVID-19 pandemic. More details during the ABS Evening News.
