ANTIGUA CRUISE PORTS COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS
Antigua Cruise Ports is ensuring all COVID-19 safety protocols are in place at the Heritage Quay for the resumption of the cruise season.
The onset of COVID-19 saw the implementation of the port management plan for COVID-19.
Health Safety and Environment Supervisor Andre Norton says the Ministry of Health is currently reviewing the port and national protocols document for approval.
He says Antigua Cruise Ports has in the interim implemented protocols at the heritage quay port.
Norton says port staff have also been trained in the use of personal protective equipment, respiratory hygiene and etiquette and
how to disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
The restrooms’ air conditioning and ventilation systems have been improved and very soon all toilet facilities will be upgraded to touchless faucets and toilet paper dispensers.
