PRISON OFFICER DIES SUDDENLY

The Superintendent and Officers of Her Majesty’s Prisons regret to advise the passing of our colleague, Officer Ryves Merchant.

Merchant fell ill while on duty Friday, and subsequently passed away late Friday evening at Mount St. John Medical Center.

The Prison Administration extends condolences to Officer Merchant’s wife and family at this difficult time.

We ask that the general public be sensitive to their loss, and respect their privacy in their time of grief.
