WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION COVID-19 UPDATE
The World Health Organisation is pleased with the decline in COVID-19 cases globally.
WHO Director Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus says cases have been declining over the past six weeks while deaths have been on the decline for five weeks.
However he says that’s not the case everywhere.
The WHO Director says the number of deaths reported last week increased in three out of WHOs six regions – Africa, the Americas and the Western Pacific.
These restrictions he says must be lifted cautiously.
Dr. Ghebreyesus says many countries do not have that option because they don’t have enough vaccines.
