GOVERNMENT UPBEAT ON THE SUCCESS OF RE-ISSUED US$200M BOND

The Government is optimistic it will soon receive the funds from a US$200 million bond or loan instrument.
The Finance Ministry says it is re-issuing the bond as it seeks to secure the lowest possible interest rate.
The update came from Prime Minister and Finance Minister Hon. Gaston Browne in response to Barbuda Member of Parliament Hon. Trevor Walker on Monday.
