PUBLIC SECTOR WORKERS TO BE PAID LUMP SUM THIS MONTH AS ADVANCE ON RETROCATIVE PAYMENTS

Public servants are set to receive at least 50 percent of their current salary as a lump sum payment by the end of this month.
The government says this will be part of retroactive payments they will receive when ongoing wage negotiations with unions are completed.
The revelation was made by Information Minister, the Hon. Melford Nicholas during Thursday morning’s post cabinet media briefing.
