FIRE DEPARTMENT RECEIVES MAJOR BOOST AS NEW EQUIPMENT IS COMMISSIONED

The nation’s fire-fighting capabilities have been significantly boosted, as four new trucks and a refurbished ladder-truck have been commissioned into service.

The state-of-the-art equipment, purchased from Belgium-based Eagle International, is expected to significantly enhance emergency response times and efficiency.

It comes as the Government moves closer to rebranding the Fire Department as the Antigua and Barbuda Fire and Rescue Services.
