Public School Teachers Continue Sit-In Over Unpaid Allowances and Benefits

Public school teachers across the island have entered day two of a sit-in over unpaid allowances and benefits.
President of the Antigua and Barbuda Union of Teachers, Casroy Charles, says the issue dates back to 2018.
According to Charles, the payments were due by April 30th. However, the relevant government minister requested an extension until noon last Friday.
When that deadline passed without payment, teachers began their sit-in shortly after lunchtime.
