PAHO and Ministry of Health Launch Media Training Workshop to Enhance Mental Health stories and Suicide Reporting

The Pan American Health Organization -PAHO, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment, has launched a four day workshop to train media professionals, government agencies and civil society organizations on responsible and accurate reporting of mental health issues.

According to Nikhail Jain, Consultant at the Pan American Health Organisation, the overall objective of the workshop is to improve the quality and sensitivity of mental health and suicide reporting in the media.

The four day workshop is set August 11th to 15th.
