Police Search for Suspect in Attempted Robbery

The police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and apprehending a male suspect involved in an attempted robbery at a convenience store located at the junction of Temple and New Streets.
Reports indicate that at approximately 9:54 a.m., a lone male entered the establishment armed with what appeared to be a firearm. The store owner quickly raised an alarm, causing the assailant to flee the scene on foot along New Street.
The suspect is described as being dark in complexion, slimly built, and approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, a pair of short blue jeans, a black and red tam, a pair of black rubber slippers with white stripes, and an orange mask covering his face. He was also carrying a black knapsack.
The police are appealing to anyone with information that may assist in identifying or locating this individual to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at 462-3913, 911, or the nearest police station.
The public is further reminded to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities immediately.
