PORT AUTHORITY REPORTS RECORD NUMBER OF CARGO ARRIVALS

Government senator and chairman of the Antigua and Barbuda Port Authority, Mary Clare Hurst says record cargo arrivals show robust economic activity.

She says CMA CGM transported 274 loaded containers on Friday.

Activity at the port is seen as a barometer of the level of economic activity across several sectors.

Senator Hurst was making her contribution to debate on the Appropriations Bill in the Senate on Tuesday.
