A&B RATTLED BY FIRST EARTHQUAKE OF 2026
A 3.8 magnitude earthquake jolted Antigua and Barbuda and neighbouring islands on New Year’s Day.
The UWI Seismic Research Centre reports the quake struck around 6:24 a.m, north west of Antigua. It occurred at a depth of about 10 kilometres.
The quake was also felt in the neighbouring islands of St. Kitts and Nevis and Montserrat.
