ENERGY MINISTER HOLDS HIGH-LEVEL TALKS IN THE UAE

Energy Minister Hon. Melford Nicholas is representing Antigua and Barbuda at the 16th International Renewable Energy Agency Assembly in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a member of the IRENA Assembly Bureau, Minister Nicholas met with the agency’s Director-General to discuss energy transition priorities for Small Island Developing States and will chair a ministerial-level session during the three-day meeting.

Minister Nicholas is accompanied by his advisor, Ambassador Brian Challenger, Climate Change Ambassador, Ruleta Camacho Thomas, Ambassador Theon Ali and Director of Operations in the Ministry of ICTs, Utilities and Energy, Karen Burton.
