WOMAN FINED $6,500 AFTER DRIVING UNLICENSED, UNINSURED WITH BABY IN CAR

A Freeman’s Village woman is paying a steep price after police say she was caught driving with no licence, no insurance, and an eight-month-old baby in the car.

Twenty-nine-year-old Natacki Goodwin-Roberts was fined $6,500 after pleading guilty to both offences.

Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel ordered her to pay within six months or face prison time: nine months for no licence and four months for no insurance.

Police say she was detained on Sir Sydney Walling Highway last Wednesday after she reportedly overtook another vehicle while driving a rental car.
