SIR ROBIN YEARWOOD ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION AS COLLEAGUES PRAISE HIS 50 UNBROKEN YEARS AS MP
Sir Robin Yearwood has resigned as Member of Parliament for St Phillip’s North.
The announcement came on the same day he marked the 50th year since his first election in 1976.
Fellow lawmakers in Parliament’s Lower House raised a bipartisan chorus of encomiums for Sir Robin’s service to the constituency and the country, as they gathered for a special sitting to mark the memorable occasion on Wednesday.
