Dr. Linroy Christian Elected Vice-Chair of the Inc on Plastic Pollution

Director of the Department of Analytical Services, Dr. Linroy Christian, has been elected as Vice Chair of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC). 

The INC, part of the mandate of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) was devised to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment.  He was elected during the third part of the fifth session of the INC (INC-5.3), convened on February 7th, 2026, specifically for the election of officers to guide the remainder of the negotiating process.

Dr. Christian replaces Ambassador Johanna Lissinger-Peitz of Sweden
