US IMPLEMENTS PARTIAL TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS FOR NEW VISA APPLICANTS

The United States has sharply tightened visa terms for nationals of Antigua and Barbuda and Dominica, who are applying for new non-immigrant visas.

Under a revised temporary reciprocity schedule published by the US Department of State, several visa categories now come with much shorter validity and tougher entry limits, including a refundable bond.

Those applying for several categories of new visas will find that what was once a 10-year, multiple-entry visa will be granted a single-entry visa valid for three months, provided they receive a national interest exception.

However, those who hold valid US visas are not affected by these changes.
