Randy Baltimore Officially Sworn in as St Phillip North MP

Randy Baltimore has now been officially sworn in as a member of the Lower House of Parliament, succeeding long-serving parliamentarian Sir Robin Yearwood.

The ceremony took place on Friday morning, where Baltimore took the oath of allegiance and joined his colleagues on the government bench as a member of the Labour Party.

His ascension follows his victory in the March 16 by-election, where he was elected as the new parliamentary representative for St Phillip North, defeating UPP candidate Alex Browne.

Baltimore was formally welcomed by members on both sides of the aisle, including his party colleagues and opposition leader Honourable Jamale Pringle.

In addition to taking his seat in parliament, the newly sworn-in MP has also been elected Deputy Speaker of the House – a role previously held by his predecessor prior to his retirement from active politics.
