ABLP Launches 2026 Election Campaign
The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP), led by Prime Minister Gaston Browne, has officially launched its campaign for the upcoming General Elections under the banner of “The Antiguan and Barbudan Renaissance.”
The launch event marked the beginning of a nationwide movement focused on continued growth, stability, and national empowerment. Addressing a large gathering of supporters, Prime Minister Browne described the campaign as “a declaration of an unstoppable movement of the masses” and a commitment to advancing the country’s development agenda. Highlighting the achievements of his administration, Prime Minister Browne pointed to significant economic recovery, job creation, infrastructure development, and expanded social programmes. He reaffirmed the Party’s pledge to continue improving the quality of life for all citizens.
Browne announced April 30, 2026 as the date for the next general elections, which were constitutionally due by 2028. The ABLP will take on the main opposition United Progressive Party (UPP). The Democratic National Alliance (DNA) will not field candidates on polling day.
