SPORTS MINISTER PRAISES YOUNG SWIMMERS FOR PERFORMANCE IN MARTINIQUE

Minister for Sports Hon. Daryll Matthew has commended Antigua and Barbuda’s team to the just-concluded Carifta Aquatic Championships in Martinique.

The team returned with a total of 15 medals, comprising 7 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze.

Ellie Shaw secured 3 gold and a silver, Maddison Macmillan swam her way to 2 gold and 2 silver, while there were 2 gold and a silver for Anya Degannes.

Jamie Tranter secured a silver and a bronze, while there was a bronze each for Kaylee Warner and Alessandro Bazzoni.

The team was met with a rousing welcome at V.C. Bird International Airport Wednesday evening.
