GAIL PERO OUTLINES ACCOUNTABILITY FOCUS FOR ELECTION CAMPAIGN

Independent candidate for St George, Gail Pero, is entering the April 30 general election with a campaign focused on accountability and governance reform.

The attorney-at-law says many of the country’s long-standing issues stem from a lack of accountability in public office.

Pero argues problems such as poor roads, drainage, and healthcare access are not unique to St George, but reflect a national challenge.

She maintains these matters should be addressed by central government, not through the disparate efforts of individual members of parliament.

Pero had contested the 2023 general elections as an independent candidate for St John’s Rural South, but decided to contest the St George seat because she lives in that constituency.
