ARSENAL END 22-YEAR WAIT FOR ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE TROPHY
Arsenal are the Champions of the English Premier League for the first time in 22 years.
Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth Tuesday, a game in which they needed to have collected all three points to push the title race to the final day.
A 38th minute goal from Eli Junior Kroupi for Bournemouth was the difference maker in the match.
Despite Erling Haaland’s 38th goal of the season in injury time, it wasn’t enough to deny Arsenal the Championship.
Tuesday’s result leaves Mikel Arteta’s men four points clear of City before the final round of games takes place on Sunday, with the Gunners set to lift the trophy at Crystal Palace.
