CORDEL JOSIAH REACTS TO RECEIVING PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

Cordel Josiah has been appointed an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) for distinguished service in the area of community development.

He was conferred with the honour during an investiture ceremony at Government House on Tuesday.

Governor General His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams says Josiah has made a major contribution across areas of healthcare, education and youth advancement.

Josiah served as chairman of the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority from 2010 to 2013.

He has also spearheaded the distribution of approximately 7,000 computers through the Rotary movement.

Josiah has also worked to revitalize the Antigua and Barbuda Scouts Association.

He expressed his gratitude for this honour.
