Acting Director of Environment Appointed

The Environment Ministry has announced the appointment of Ruleta Camacho-Thomas as Acting Director of Environment.

Camacho-Thomas’ appointment took effect on Monday, July 20. She also serves as Antigua and Barbuda’s Climate Ambassador. The appointment comes as Amb. Diann Black Layne prepares to proceed on pre-retirement leave.

Amb. Camacho Thomas has been on the frontlines of global advocacy for climate justice, amid the existential threat from the deepening crisis.
