WATCH: CABINET AGREES MOST POLICE OFFICERS SHOULD BE ARMED

Cabinet wants laws in place to allow most police officers to carry firearms, regardless of their rank.

The announcement was made by director general for communications in the prime minister’s office, Maurice Merchant, during Thursday’s post-cabinet media briefing.

He says work will begin immediately to facilitate this.
