The Work’s Minister says Allocation For His Ministry Is Too Small

Minister of Public Works and Housing, the Hon. Eustace “Teco” Lake is assuring residents that despite a cut in the budget allocation for the Ministry, major road work in the country will be completed by year end.

Minister Lake says the Ministry has adopted a strategic approach for its planning, management and support.

He says on the sister isle, the goal is to fix equipment that has fallen into disrepair for poor, or no maintenance.

Minister Lake adds that in order for the Ministry to generate more income, there will be the sale of material produced by the Ministry of Works.

He says officials are currently in dialogue with a private investor to construct roads in Yorks and other areas.

Minister Lake reiterates that progress will be made despite the existing challenges.
