ABLP’S KENDRA BEAZER SEEKS BALANCED SOLUTION TO PERENNIAL LAND DISPUTE IN BARBUDA

The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party’s candidate for Barbuda, Kendra Beazer, says any approach to address the land controversy in Barbuda, must prioritise fairness and broad community input.

Land ownership in Barbuda remains one of the most divisive political issues on the sister island, shaping relations between the local council and the ABLP-led administration.

At the centre of the debate is whether Barbuda should continue its traditional communal land system, or move toward individual freehold ownership.

Beazer commented on the issue during ABS’ ‘Know Your Candidates’ on Monday morning.
