AG BENJAMIN RENEWS PUSH FOR LAW SCHOOL IN A&B AS LLB PROGRAMME BEGINS
The first Bachelor of Laws (LLB) class at the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus has been held, in what is being hailed as a major development for human capital development in Antigua and Barbuda.
The inaugural class was delivered at the People’s Place, as the programme is offered in a partnership between the UWI FIC and UWI Mona Campus in Jamaica.
Attorney General and Legal Affairs Minister Hon. Sir Steadroy Benjamin has welcomed the development and has renewed his push for a professional law school to be established in Antigua and Barbuda.
This would allow students to be able to complete both their law degree and their professional legal training in the twin-island state.
