LOCAL NUMBER PORTABILITY TO BE INTRODUCED ON NOVEMBER 23

Cabinet says mobile phone users in Antigua and Barbuda will be able to switch networks and keep their numbers starting November 23 this year.

Technical work is to be finetuned local number portability, with a testing phase to be carried out, as the authorities seek to surmount the challenges which have dogged the process.

A comprehensive public education and awareness campaign is being prepared to ensure that consumers understand the procedures for transferring a number and their responsibilities when requesting a transfer.
