Nationals Of The Dominican Republic Picket Consul

Nationals of the Dominican Republic are preparing to picket the office of their Consul on Thursday.

Their grievance is the absence of direct flights to the Dominican Republic, since LIAT has temporarily suspended its route between Antigua and Santo Domingo back in October.

British Airways, which was once an alternative, has made a similar move.

The situation has left the Spanish-speaking nationals here stranded with options they consider very expensive and inconvenient.
