New CEO Appointed for VC Bird International Airport

The Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority has appointed seasoned aviation executive Kurt Menal as the new Chief Executive Officer of VC Bird International Airport.

His appointment took effect on August 1, 2026.

The ABAA says Menal brings more than 20 years of regional aviation leadership, having previously served as Managing Director of the British Virgin Islands Airports Authority. He also held senior management positions with the Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago.

The Airport Authority says his extensive experience and strategic vision will help drive the airport’s next phase of growth, while strengthening Antigua and Barbuda’s position as a premier Caribbean gateway.
