NEW HOTEL TO BE DEVELOPED AT YEPTONS

The government has approved an initiative that is set to drive the development of a new hotel at Yeptons.

It is being described as a landmark public-private investment initiative for the tourism project, on approximately 15 acres of beachfront land.

Director general of communications in the prime minister’s office, Maurice Merchant, says the model mirrors the approach used for other strategic national assets, where public institutions take an equity stake in tourism developments to ensure long-term national returns.
