Prime Minister Right Honourable Gaston Browne has been sworn in for a fourth straight time as head of Government. He took the oaths of office, allegiance and secrecy at Government House on Friday, before being presented with his instrument of appointment by Governor General His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams.

Prime Minister Browne said he was humbled by the trust reposed in him by the electorate, following the landslide 15-2 victory by his Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party in Thursday’s general elections. United Progressive Party leader, Jamale Pringle was the sole member of his party to hold his seat in All Saints East and St Luke. Barbuda People’s Movement leader, Trevor Walker has also retained his seat, in a replica of the 2018 general election results.

Prime Minister Browne, who has created further history by being sworn in for a fourth time, has pledged to work for continued improvements in the quality of life for all Antiguans and Barbudans, in what he says will be a “new dispensation.”
