Prisoner Dies Suddenly In Prison

Police have confirmed the death of a man at Her Majesty’s Prison earlier this afternoon. (Monday)

The prisoner, said to be in his sixties, was awaiting sentencing for a rape conviction.

Police have not yet revealed his identity, nor the circumstances surrounding his death.

Sergeant Frankie Thomas says investigations into the matter are ongoing.
