Ridding Streets of Illegal Fire Arms Still Major Priority

Ridding the nation’s streets of illegal firearms continues to be a major priority for the Ministry of National Security.

National Security Minister Sen. Errol Cort has commended Police Officers who were involved in the recent arrest of a Potters man after being found with a loaded firearm concealed in his pants waist.

Manuel Woodley, 21 was detained by the police Thursday night, after he was allegedly found on the compound of Cost Cutters limited formerly Food Fantasies at the junction of Sir George Walter & Sir Sydney Walling Highway, acting in a suspicious manner.

Further investigations are pending into the incident which took place around 9pm.
