House of Representatives Forced to Adjourn

Prior commitments by some members of parliament and reports of illness by others forced the adjournment of today’s (Friday) sitting of the House of Representatives.

Just a small number of MPs were present, when the house re-convened its sitting. It lead to a postponement of the session until next week, according to City East Member of Parliament the hon. Harold Lovell.

Several bills are down for debate during this sitting of the House of Representatives, including the Personal Income Tax Amendment Act 2014, the Interviewing of Accused for Serious Crimes Bill and the Immigration and Passport Bill 2014, which was passed earlier this week.
