Salvation Army sets Christmas Fundraising Target
The Salvation Army is targeting EC$200,000 for its 2026 Christmas Kettle Campaign.
News of this comes as the Army seeks to meet growing welfare needs amid the growing cost of living. Divisional Leader Major Raymoncil Jean-Pierre says the fundraising goal has increased from EC$175,000 last year, in hopes the organisation may still be able to provide similar assistance to vulnerable individuals and families. He also says the funds will help the Salvation Army provide approximately 1,000 food packages during the Christmas season, with each package costing between EC$175 and EC$200 to prepare.
The official launch is scheduled for November 6, 2026, when the organisation’s familiar red kettles will be placed at several locations to collect public donations.
