Scholarship for Gasper to be put in place
The very latest now on the Shaveesa Gasper story, some 24 hours after her return to the island.
Minister of Health and Environment, the Hon. Molwyn Joseph, says discussions have already taken place with regard to putting a scholarship in place, so that Gasper can pursue tertiary studies.
More immediately, plans are being made for the teenager to begin preparations for CSEC examinations, which she will sit in 2017.
Minister Joseph suggests that she goes through the process at her own pace.
He is confident that with the strong determination and will that she has exemplified, she has a bright future.
