TERRANCE WEATHERHEAD FOUND GUILTY OF MURDER
Thirty-two-year-old Terrance Weatherhead has been found guilty of murdering his girlfriend,Monique Rudder, four years ago.
It took jurors almost six hours Monday to come to a unanimous decision in the case.
Weatherhead was charged with murder after the 45-year-old woman was found dead in the couple’s New Street Home on an evening in July 2015.
One of the couple’s sons, who was 6-years-old at the time of the incident, testified he heard his parents arguing.
The child says he later heard a crash and after running into a room, saw his mother lying on a glass table.
Weatherhead who gave sworn evidence at his trial claimed he was innocent of the crime.
He told jurors Rudder had been drinking and using drugs.
The man testified the woman staggered into the room, collapsed on the table and beat her head against a wall.
A doctor testified Rudder died from severe head injury with internal bleeding.
Doctors also found traces of cocaine in the dead woman’s system.
He is to be sentenced on the 15th of August 2019.
