FREE FORTNIGHTLY TESTING FOR UNVACCINATED FRONTLINE WORKERS

The recently announced testing of unvaccinated frontline workers will now be less burdensome as cabinet makes the decision to eliminate the cost of the Ministry of Health prescribed Rapid Antigen Covid-19 test.

Unvaccinated frontline workers will be required to take a covid-19 test once every 14 days or get vaccinated.

In response to the concerns of the Trade Union Congress about the price of the test being a “harsh burden” Cabinet made the decision to compromise their stance of a first $150 test, to $50, and has now made it free.

Housing institutions employees and adult residents such as Prisons, Finnes Institute, Clarevue Hospital, the Home for Girls, the Boys training school, and others will also subjected to the same policy.

Unvaccinated frontline workers who fail to comply with measures will be asked to stay at home or will be barred from conducting trade with tourist.
