Lawmakers Approve Legislation With Sweeping Social Security Overhauls

The Lower House of Parliament has given its nod of approval to the passage of the Social Security Amendment Bill 2016.

The bill among other things seeks to streamline operations at the statutory body as well as give consideration to raising the pensionable age to 65 on a phased basis.
